Privacy & Confidentiality

Your privacy is important to us, and you can trust that our sessions, as well as any of your personal information, is always held in the strictest of confidence. I have made arrangements for HIPAA compliant file sharing along with measures taken to ensure compliance of record keeping to maintain privacy and discretion that you deserve with your behavioral health records. Privacy in unsecured settings requested by client such as sessions held in places other than an office has risks. 

Confidential information disclosed in private therapy sessions is legally protected. However, there are some exceptions to this, including instances of suspected child or elder abuse, or when a client presents a serious danger of violence toward himself or herself or another person. If you’d like to learn more about our ethical standards and privileged communication exceptions, our office can provide additional information.

Counseling/Psychotherapy Services provided at our office, telemental health, in your home, or other setting as chosen by Client and Counselor.

A variety of treatment modalities are used to encourage reframing and creating new perspectives on concerns. Clients are encouraged to discover and build their own strengths and  to use skills and resources to take control of their own destinies and work toward a life that they feel happy with. Services are holistic and encompass all aspects of an individual's identity and specifically tailored to their needs.
